About Frank and Respect Sports

A photo of Frank coachingRespect Sports Founder Frank White has devoted his career and life to promoting the benefits of sports and recreation.  Frank is currently the Manager of Recreation Programs and Athletics for the City of Richfield, Minnesota's Recreation Services Department.

Frank attended the University of Minnesota and has served as a Board Member to many state associations that provide athletic services, including the Minnesota Sports Federation and Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association.  Currently he is a board member of the Sports Alliance of Minnesota and serves as an Basketball official evaluator for the Minnesota State High School League. He’s been a College and high school basketball official for  over 30 years, a member of the Minnesota High School League Officials and Sportsmanship Advisory Committees and a former Basketball Rule Clinician.Frank has also officiated baseball, softball, high school and college football.  He's been the District IV Commissioner for ASA softball, the Rules Intrepreter for MRPA, MSF in the sports of Touch Football and Basketball.He’s also been a volunteer coach for over 20 years and is currently the Minnesota Twins RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Coordinator.  He’s been involved with the RBI program for four years.

Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame Induction
Frank was inducted into the Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame at the15th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as a Sports Official on May 18, 2005.

Presented in recognition of agencies, organizations and individuals in Minnesota for their outstanding achievements in the parks, recreation and leisure services. Frank earned the award for his presentation, “Violence in Sports…It’s Not A Game Anymore.”
